Our mission:
to educate and enlighten people through the natural interaction with horses.

Our goal:
to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where the horses and humans can interact and learn from each other.

Natural Equine Interactive Growth & Healing is a holistic, relationship-centered approach to equine-assisted services that integrates yoga philosophy, natural horsemanship, neuroscience, and expressive arts. Rooted in the belief that both horses and humans carry innate wisdom, this work fosters healing through mindful presence, breath awareness, movement, and trust-based connection.

Honoring horses as sensitive, sentient beings, we emphasize ethical partnership over control and prioritize consent, choice, and co-regulation. By learning to regulate our own nervous systems, we deepen attunement, communication, and mutual trust.

This practice is not about riding or performance—it is about presence, relationship, and transformation. In a safe and nurturing space, both horse and human are invited to grow, heal, and thrive together.

How can I learn?

We offer private and semi-private sessions and workshops both scheduled and customized.

Please check the calendar for scheduled workshops.

About us:
The Healing Equine Ranch, founded in 2007 by Kiki Ebsen, is a nonprofit organization located in the Santa Monica mountains of California, with a sole purpose to care for its small herd of rescued horses and share them with those who wish to learn more about them and themselves.

We respectfully acknowledge the Chumash People, who have stewarded this land throughout the generations. We invite you to explore their culture and traditions by clicking here.

More about Kiki Ebsen
Horses have been at the heart of Kiki’s life since childhood. With over six decades of experience—including trail riding, regional competition, and mentorship with respected leaders in the equine world—her path has always been guided by a deep reverence for these animals. What began as passion evolved into purpose as she rescued horses and created a small sanctuary, now home to a close-knit herd of nine.

In 2009, she founded The Healing Equine Ranch and began collaborating with psychologists to offer equine-assisted therapy. From this work, she developed Natural Equine Interactive Growth & Healing (NEIGH)—an integrative approach blending horsemanship, yoga philosophy, and trauma-informed care to foster authentic connection and mutual healing between humans and horses.

Through NEIGH, Kiki invites others into deeper presence, partnership, and self-discovery—guided by the wisdom of the herd.
