Somatic Psychology • Equine Behavior • Relational Neuroscience
Are you a therapist who needs more horse time? Are you curious about the healing power of non-predatory presence?
Then please join us for this small-group intensive (limited to 6 participants). This is an experiential bridge between clinical theory and felt practice. This session is designed for those seeking a deeper, embodied understanding of the horse-human bond through the unique lens of the Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing framework. Whether you are a clinician, a student of expressive arts therapy, or simply curious about the mechanics of equine-assisted work, we offer a grounded sanctuary to explore how horses facilitate human growth.
The Clinical & Creative Lens
Horses are masters of co-regulation, reflecting subtle shifts in the human nervous system with unerring accuracy. Through the NEIGH Method’s focus on hands-on interaction and reflective observation, we explore:
The Somatic Mirror: Understanding how horses respond to breath, posture, and internal congruence.
Equine Psychology: Decoding herd dynamics as a model for relational safety, leadership, and boundaries.
Neuro-Relational Presence: Moving beyond "doing" into "being" through the lens of polyvagal theory.
Integration & Arts: Using expressive modalities and group reflection to anchor the morning’s insights into your professional or personal practice.
The "Third Body" Exploration
In this workshop, we don't just look at the horse; we look at the space between. We investigate the "Third Body"—the unique energetic and physiological field created when two nervous systems meet in mutual awareness. You will learn to track your own "internal weather" and see it reflected in real-time by the herd.
Who This Is For
Therapists & Trainees: Explore "bottom-up" processing and somatic countertransference.
Educators & Caregivers: Learn new tools for embodied presence and attunement.
The Equine Curious: Gain a professional-grade introduction to the NEIGH Method of equine-assisted learning.
Note: No prior horse experience is required. This is a non-riding, ground-based learning environment.
