A Collaborative Workshop with The Healing Equine Ranch & Uthrive Wellness Inc.

Supporting presence from the ground up with art, sound meditation, and horses.

This presents a wonderful opportunity to tap into your body's innate wisdom while also connecting with the ancestral spirits of the land and the intuition of your own heart.

During this workshop, we will delve into the longings of the heart, the clarity of purpose, the things that truly ignite our passion, and embracing our current state.

The morning session will begin with a soothing sound bath, followed by activities with the horses aimed at fostering connection, self-regulation, introspection, and emotional balance. An art table will be available for creative expression through journaling and drawing. This is an exceptional chance to explore the intricate landscape of our souls, which can lead to deep transformation.

The Ranch is peacefully situated in the picturesque Santa Monica mountains close to Calabasas, and is surrounded by majestic heritage oaks, vibrant wildflowers, and diverse wildlife.

”I am a creative artist and passionate equestrian with over five decades of horse experience. My life journey led her to create Natural Equine Interactive Growth and Healing (NEIGH). This deeply attuned approach combines my deep understanding of horses with the ancient philosophies of yoga, including breath work, focus, energy, flow, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. This modality creates a space for genuine connection and mutual understanding between humans and horses. Through NEIGH, I aim to guide others towards a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them, emphasizing the importance of being present and honoring the unique qualities of each individual, whether human or horse.

Relax, reset, and recieve this lovely experience outside on the deck surrounded by the horses grazing, the birds singing and the comforting scents of the mountain sages. Starting with a gentle movement class, we will then enjoy a short mindful hike through a beautiful meadow surrounded by wildlife. We will end with a meditative horse experience feeling into our bodies, quieting the mind, and observing our emotions using all of our senses. Please feel free to bring mats, props, water etc.

This workshop explores the horse-human relationship through attunement, connection and the mutual understanding and  integration of the body and mind. Surrounded nature and wildlife, we’ll explore how important breath, intent, visualization, intuition, spacial and body awareness is to our horses and to ourselves. We’ll learn what is important to horses and how we can support their needs while encouraging a partnership. Each participant will have a chance to work one on one with our horses learning basic ground skills. This is a great opportunity to slow down, enhance presence and focus, tune into your intuition, connect to the energies within ourselves and the environment. All activities will be conducted on the ground, no riding involved. We welcome anyone with a love of horses to participate.

Objectives:
- Learn to lead horse forward, stop, back up your horse from the - ground using thought, breath and body language.
- Learning how to communicate with the horse in a clear, concise and consistent way.
- Learning how to move the feet using phases of pressure and release.
- Finding lightness and feel in the lead rope connection to the horse
- To be able to read signs of relaxation in the horses.
- Experience how to offer a safe place for your horse to be with your while maintaining a clear boundary.
- Self regulation through breath to affect the wellbeing of yourself and your horse.

Herd observation takes place out in the open where the horses can just be themselves. Horses spend most of their time grazing and occasionally seeking the comfort and safety from their herd mates. There is always room in each day for some playtime. After sitting in a field of horses grazing one could start feeling quite present in their bodies, take deeper breaths and tap into a general sense of peace and calm. After a period a time in observation, we’ll discuss herd dynamics, the equine leaders, their qualities and how they all co-habitat for the betterment of the herd. We will also talk about the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems, electromagnetic heart wave entrainment and more. This experience is educational and designed to reset the nervous system. Spend time in nature learning the natural language of horses. We start off by observing the horses in their natural world and watching the group interaction. Horses cohabit in herds and utilize an ancestral hierarchy system that keeps the herd safe and cared for. Energy is the primary exchange and can be demonstrated through breath, visualization and body movement. After a brief discussion about what we saw in the herd observation, we will then join up with horses and start to build a relationship through simple grooming exercises, basic body work and breathing exercises.
